FAQ

Questions about moving to the cloud

Will our customizations and configuration change?

No. It's the same Business Central with the same configuration and customizations. A pilot migration confirms they behave correctly in the cloud before your production data moves.

How much downtime should we expect?

The move is planned around a single cutover weekend, when production data and configuration move across, so your team can carry on as normal during the week.

What if some of our customizations aren't extensions?

The assessment identifies any direct code modifications, and they are rebuilt as extensions before the move so they keep working in the cloud and through future updates.

What about our integrations?

We inventory every integration during the assessment and check it has a cloud-compatible API. Anything that doesn't is flagged early, with options to replace or rebuild it.

Who looks after Business Central after the move?

Microsoft manages the infrastructure, updates and backups. For help with your setup, see our Business Central support plans.

Ready to retire your server maintenance schedule?

A readiness assessment tells you exactly what moves and what needs adjusting first.
